Chakhokhbili from the drumsticks
Ingredients:
drumsticks: 2 kg
onion: 800g
diced tomato: 600g
tomato paste: 3 tbsp
garlic: 0.5 head
herbs: basil, suneli
coriander: 1 tea spoon
sugar: 1 tbsp (optional)
chicken stock/water: 150ml
chilli, salt, pepper: to taste
spring onion
Instructions:
Fry drumstics in 1 layer.
Remove drumstics.
Add 150ml of chicken stock/water
Saute onion, add tomato paste
Add herbs and sugar(optional) to diced tomatoes and mix well
Place the fried drumstics on the onion
Pour diced tomatoes with herbs on the fried drumstics
Cook on medium heat for 40 minutes tirning once and pour the drumstics with juice from time to time
Spring with spring onion or kindza
Serve with the boiled potato
